Bar Tabs.
We have a few options on how this can work. Subsidised drinks is a popular way to go. This means guests pay a certain amount for drinks and you pay the balance.
We can provide platters of food for guests. We are happy to discuss other options with you and our chef.

 How we work our private functions is to take our last meal orders at 7.00pm, then put private function sign out. The remaining diners will gone about 7.30pm.  After 7.30pm any drinkers left will be asked to go into the other bar, and the bar will be yours for the evening. You and your guests are welcome to come in earlier but there may be patrons still in the bar until 7.30pm.

In accordance with The Sale of Liquor Act no alcohol is to be brought into the premises from outside , younger guests will need i.d as they will be checked, any guests under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian and any guests who appear intoxicated will not be served and may be asked to leave. The Riv management reserves all rights in this regard.

1. A non refundable deposit of $350.00 is required to secure the booking. If this deposit is not received within 7 days of the customer receiving this agreement The Riv reserves the right to cancel the booking.



2. $125 of this deposit will be used to provide security for the function.



3. If the  total function spend  ( this includes all food and drink consumed  during the time of the function )  is  over $1250  the remaining $225 of the deposit will be returned to the customer.  If the spend is less than $1250 the $225 will be retained by The Riv as hireage.



4.  The refund will be made on the Monday following the function either in cash or via bank deposit.



5. The Riv management reserves the right to withhold any refund if there is found to have been damage done to The Riv during the function.



6. Transfer of a function date one month prior to function date will involve no additional charge.
7. The venue will become available for the private function at 7.30pm unless another arrangement is made with The Riv management.



8. Customers may decorate the premises on the day of the function at a time to be negotiated with The Riv management. Decorations must be removed on the night of your function.
